Haya (Modesty)

Modesty is a quality every Muslim should possess, our behavior with family, relatives, friends should be enveloped in a seal of haya, signaling to others that indeed indecency isn’t part of our iman. Saving our eyes, and ears from watching vulgar content, which is available so easily today, is a tough call that we need to take immediately. At a time so critical, our kids need guidance in how to act responsibly in behavior, appearance and thinking.

Rizq (Provision)

Where did the halal / haram rizq teachings disappear from our conversations? There is indeed great reward for a person who ignores a path leading towards haram earnings and makes sure to stick religiously to a difficult life but earning halal rizq only. In the Quran and Hadith are the guidelines for our daily living, if we don’t gain a better understanding then its our loss for sure. Allah has mentioned various times as to how to earn a living, how to spend, how to save and how to spare for helping others. This life is a trial, every breath we take, every action we take is noted down and will surely impact our akhirah. Earning fairly, and legally should be our topmost priority, there should be no other way about it. As of course, the contentment and satisfaction of nourishing the soul with halal rizq has endless rewards in sha Allah.

Surah Ad-Duha – Recitation by Hamid Malikzay

Sūrat aḍ-Ḍuḥā is the ninety-third sura of the Qur’an with 11 ayat. The Surah takes its name Aḍ-Ḍuḥā from the very first word. Although there is some debate amongst scholars, this sura is often considered to be the second revealed to Muhammad. (Wikipedia.org)

Tawakkul (Reliance on Allah)

No one is advised by Allah to just sit down and wait for fate to take its course. Allah says to us to have faith in His choices for us, to make effort and after a reasonable effort, lie down and reap what we have sown. In this life, there would be trials, blocking our vision, our faith, making us think how we would survive and from where sustenance would reach, assuming that we are ‘done’. But, behold oh forgetful creation of Almighty Allah, He says to us to have faith in Him, trust Him, and He will open doors for us which weren’t even there in the first place.

Materialism

Living our lives to the fullest, enriching every breath with the love of this worldly life, also adding in the flavors of Allah’s dhikr and praise for fellow humans is the essence of this life. Sealing our materialistic desires, replacing them with a more balanced approach towards life is the key to contentment. The more your gains are centered at attainment of rewards in this life and akhirah BOTH, the more at peace you would be. Our creator appreciates if we walk on a road that takes us to places that enrich our mind and soul, while we share that blessing with those around us. Greed, and arrogance has no place in a true believer’s heart, so let go of this nuisance and set yourself free!

High-end’in It

Allah is most forgiving, He loves us immensely, forgives us the moment we think of taubah, He blesses us with his worldly bounties and then asks us to spend on ourselves, our families and also on those in need. I am not saying that spending on yourself beyond very basic needs is a sin, not at all, but there should be drawn a line on where the spending and saving should end and parting away from it should begin.

O’ Conscience, I Bid Farewell!

Don’t live your life like an ostrich, burying your head in sand, blinding yourself from the bitter realities occurring around you, take charge, be responsible, for being of use to mankind will surely please Allah and that will ultimately raise your ranks as a believer and righteous soul. Awaken your moral compass and nourish and nurture it with selfless good deeds so it can lead you as a mumin and believer. May our conscience bring eternal bliss and harmony to this dying world, and in turn opening doors of heaven for us in the hereafter, in sha Allah.

My Game, My Rules

My focus is on the increase in the number of broken homes and single parents raising children amongst their quarrels and chaos on decisions regarding kids. Everywhere you look there is talk of how this couple or that couple is not getting along and the only way to fix the situation is to end the marriage. What happened to the application of patience and forgive ‘n forget? Why has it become so easy to let go of things and not thinking for a moment of Allah’s sayings about divorce?

Heroic Indeed

Allah Subhanahu Ta’ala lays it down plain and simple; be kind, be gentle, forgive and forget, and these humble actions would supersede your charities. Being understanding of the greatness of kindness in Allah’s eyes we will change our ways of living and bringing a positive change altogether. This world needs heroes, to safeguard the rights of less privileged folks, to heal them in any way we can, to comfort those in distress and playing our part to enhance the colors of this universe. Be the savior, be the hero, do your part and leave no opportunity to spread kindness around.
